A different kind of game studio
Midnight Society was founded on the core principles of transparency and open development. From as early as the creation of the very first weapon, environment, and gameplay systems, we ship playable builds of our games to our massive community of players.
Started by four industry veterans, the studio has grown to over 50 AAA developers from the largest franchises in the world (Call of Duty, Halo, Fortnite), alongside hundreds of thousands of community members who signed up to play in-development Snapshots of our first game and provide crucial feedback for the team.
Playable from Day Zero
Since the beginning, the DEADROP build has been playable by our dedicated group of players, known as Variants or Founders. That playable build continues to be updated every Snapshot, introducing new weapons, environments, gameplay systems and mechanics, as well as requested features. As the game grows, so does the community, welcoming in a wider group of players to drop in, collect rare loot, and fight for their right to claim "the DEADROP."
